Lighting,reflections and modern packaging  of everday objects have been a recent inspiration for some new still life paintings. Also a continuation of the tab series, and a other fun stuff!

"Hand" 2007

This is my left hand that I made (larger than life) using PVC thermo material.  The same material used in the splint I had for my cast.  I was given cast off pieces (upon request)  after I saw how they shape the material by heating it in boiling water to soften it  I thought it might be fun to play with and explore it's properties. It was very challenging to work with.  I'm happy with how it turned out. Many thanks to Mike my physiotherapist, and especially Dr. Athwall my surgion.I will be giving it to the HULC at ST. Joes when I go back in September for a checkup on my (real) hand.
