A bit about: Cheri Robinson
London, Ontario has been my home for most of my life, and I now reside in a quiet neighbourhood close to the Thames River with my family.

I attended Tecumseh PS in the 70's and being good in art class gave me confidence in myself. At Saunders SS I was encouraged/inspired by teachers Ron Culbert & Ken Green.  When Bealart dept. head Bevan Ling came and gave an info session, I knew that's where I needed to be.

After being accepted at Bealart, I explored many mediums in year 1, and chose painting and sculpture as my focus in year two. I was encouraged to explore my conceptual ideas in the sculpture program taught by John Krygsman, and Joseph Hubbard who I consider my biggest mentor.

Wanting the craftsmanship to produce top quailty work led me to the School of Crafts and Design at Sheridan College in Oakville. The hotglass program was my major where I studied under Dan Crichton and Kevin Lockau.  Casting glass and moldmaking for sculpture was my primary interest.

I now have a small glass studio near Belmont, where I can blow & cast glass. I am currently taking a break from the glass as I focus on family. I am starting to explore painting again, and working mainly with acrylics.

Recently I have set up a store online to sell originals and prints of my work.
